Dr. Coughlin started providing Botox injections and fillers for dental care over 4 years ago. He initially began by providing Botox injections to provide relief to patients suffering from TMJ symptoms and headaches.  He also provided fillers to provide lip support and cheek augmentation for patients who lost texture and tightness of skin on their face after losing teeth. It became clear that not only did he enjoy this aspect of cosmetics but that there was also an enormous amount interest in improving ones appearance. To get additional training Dr. Coughlin received a Licensed Esthetician degree after completing 300 hours of continuing education and passing the Massachusetts State written and clinical exam. Dr. Coughlin then teamed up with Hologic and Cynosure Laser company for clinical training with Radiofrequency (RF), Intense Pulse Light (IPL), and Laser uses for non-surgical esthetics. This provided training in hair removal, tattoo removal, photo-facials, and scar reduction along with reduction and elimination in many cases of sun damage including red and brown spots. He received additional training in body fat recontouring and removal, also with non-surgical techniques. After his training, Dr. Coughlin wrote the book, “The Non-Surgical Guide to Aesthetics” to provide information and knowledge to the public on what can and cannot be done and what questions to ask your provider when considering non-surgical esthetic treatment. Dr. Coughlin is also an instructor for AMET teaching a course on fillers and Botox to physicians, dentists, and nurses all over the country. AMET is the Aesthetic Medical Educators Training which is one of the premiere training centers in the United States for teaching basic and advanced facial aesthetics.

Dr. Calabrese believes that we should all have the opportunity to feel and look our best, and it is his goal to help his clients age gracefully. Dr. Calabrese is currently a nationwide instructor teaching BOTOX and dermal fillers to physicians, PA’s, dentists, and nurses across all 50 states. Dr. John Calabrese is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Alumni Clinical Excellence Award in General Dentistry for his exceptional clinical skills and patient care. He then went on to complete his General Practice Residency at Hartford Hospital, a level 1 trauma center. Dr. Calabrese is also an instructor for AMET teaching a course on fillers and Botox to physicians, dentists, and nurses all over the country. AMET is the Aesthetic Medical Educators Training which is one of the premiere training centers in the United States for teaching basic and advanced facial aesthetics.

Rhonda is a clinical aesthetician licensed in Massachusetts and Connecticut. She is a graduate of the Jolie Beauty and Aesthetics Academy and the Catherine Hinds Institute in Boston. She has extensive experience in the beauty industry having taught at the Brio/Marinello Academy and as a makeup artist at Chanel. She has worked in Medical Spas for the past ten years.  She is certified on the Diamondtome Microdermabrasion system, HydrafacialMD, Cynosure IPL, Motus AX laser hair removal, Virtue RF Microneedling, Skin Pen, PicoSure facials and tattoo removal, specializes in various peels, Visia digital imaging, advanced certification in Acne treatments, Dermaplaning and Anti-Aging Facials.  Additionally, Rhonda specializes and is licensed and certified in performing Permanent Cosmetics.  Through many years of experience, Rhonda’s philosophy and approach is to create or enhance the most natural look possible.  Her advanced certifications in microblading eyebrows, Ombre Brows, eyeliner, lip blush, lip liner, full lip color, areola nipple restoration, and scar camouflaging, she will not only enhance but shape the area of concern.  Rhonda is also certified in permanent tattoo makeup removal. Her knowledge, smile, and professional manner will leave you confident that you are in the hands of a professional.

Alicia graduated from Elms College in 2012 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Throughout her nursing career, she has specialized in Forensic Psychiatric Nursing and Addiction Medicine.

In early 2021, Alicia decided to expand her nursing knowledge and skills and became certified in neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Since joining the Ascent Laser Aesthetics team, Alicia has been provided extensive education, training, and certifications in skin revitalization, body contouring, and laser hair removal. Alicia found the ever-growing aesthetic industry extremely fascinating and is a passionate nurse who enjoys working with each client individually to maximize their treatment goals and outcomes.

Abbie graduated from the Greenfield Community College nursing program in 2005.  After working in sub-acute care and neuro psych rehabilitation for several years, she decided to pursue training in medical aesthetics.  In 2018, Abbie attended the National Laser Institute and received many certifications in injectables, tattoo removal, IPL, collagen-induction therapy with PRP, and laser hair removal.  Most recently, she has received training in PDO threads and Sclerotherapy. Since joining the team at Ascent Laser Aesthetics, Abbie has continued to learn and grow with the ever-changing industry so that she can help our clients meet their specific aesthetic goals.
